Activists Protest Government Bailouts: Don’t Be Fooled

According to Breitbart, several hundred demonstrators protested the government bailouts today near Wall Street.

Members of worker rights, healthcare and anti-war groups gathered in the rain holding posters that read “Bail Out the Unemployed” and “No More $ For Wall St & War.”

They also shouted demands for more jobs.

Of course this makes news but when it’s a Tea Party demonstration, you can’t buy coverage.  The majority of the protestors were members of  Bail Out The People Movement.  Take a look at their website.  It’s just another anti-war, anti-capitalist group that supports illegal immigration, unions, and nationalized health care.

Needless to say, this group isn’t looking out for working Americans…

Obama To Executives: Watch What You Say Or Else

Despite the reports of solidarity last week  between bank executives and Obama, it seems the executives weren’t given much choice.

Eamon Javers of Politico reports:

The bankers struggled to make themselves clear to the president of the United States.

Arrayed around a long mahogany table in the White House state dining room last week, the CEOs of the most powerful financial institutions in the world offered several explanations for paying high salaries to their employees - and, by extension, to themselves.

“These are complicated companies,” one CEO said. Offered another: “We’re competing for talent on an international market.”

But President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.”

“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

One doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand the meaning behind that threat.

Congress Approvals Historic Federal Budget

It’s official… Congress has passed the largest budget in history.  Last night, the Senate budget version passed 55-43, again, without any Republican support.  It should be noted that Senators Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Evan Bayh (D-IN)  voted against it as well - good for them.

More to come…
